Position and responsibility

• prepares the surfaces to be welded: smooths the edges with the grinder, bevels, polishes and fixes them (using clamps or welding points) in the desired position
• selects the most suitable method and tools to perform the welding, based on materials, size, parts and purpose of the work
• performs the welding
• makes sure that the weld bead has no fractures, defects or imperfections
• takes care of quality control
• maintenance of the welding machine

We require

• previous experience of at least 2 years in mechanical carpentry and continuous wire welding
• knowledge and ability to read mechanical drawing and welding symbology
• immediate availability
• previous experience in medium-heavy carpentry production companies represents a preferred element in the choice of the candidate
• reliability to work accurately and meticulously
• ability to use SW for production data recording (ERP)
• knowledge of basic Italian language

Determination, willingness and punctuality are also essential for this position.

The employee will work in the welding department in the MTS2 or MTS3 facilities dedicated to welding and carpentry.

Works closely with the Engineering Office, with shift and department managers, as well as with the Planning and Executive Production Offices.

Place of work: Bosconero (TO)

Working time: full time from Monday to Friday (morning, afternoon shifts), Saturday morning

Possibility to switch to open-ended contract. Initial fixed-term contract, renewable

Experience

• CNC milling operator 3-4-5 axis: 2 years (mandatory)

The candidate, who will report to the department, shift, and production monitoring managers, will take care of:

• preparing the equipment for processing
• loading the material to be processed
• implementing the planned production
• monitoring machinery operation
• providing assistance in the event of anomalies and malfunctions
• removing waste material from the finished product
• quality check of the finished product and of its compliance with the parameters and measurements indicated in the drawing
• simple routine maintenance work on CNC machines
• constant monitoring of CNC machines running at full capacity

We require

•  Experience of at least 3-4 years with CNC machines in structured machine workshops or industrial companies
• Knowledge of Fanuc and ISO programming languages
• Experience in the use of instruments such as caliper, bore gauge, micrometer, etc.
• Ability to create equipment for the working station and lathe chucks.
• Experience in machine set-up and knowledge of the tools with an aptitude for finding new solutions tailored to production needs
• Experience in reading mechanical drawing (basic knowledge of Autocad 2D or related)

Availability to work in shifts (3 shifts)

•  ability to detect and correct any anomalies in machine operation
• knowledge and compliance with workplace safety regulations, especially when in charge of activities that may involve hazardous materials

Organizational skills include the following:

• knowledge of all phases of the production cycle and ability to understand the related timelines
• planning purchase orders and work orders to meet delivery schedules within the department
•  ability to properly prepare the machine so that it operates to its full potential throughout working hours

We require at least 5 years of experience in the serial production of mechanical parts.

• metalworker: 5 years (mandatory)
• CNC machine production operator: 5 years (mandatory)

As a member of the production department, he/she will be required to:

• load the material in the metal sheet cutting machine
• supervise the operating process of the metal sheet cutting machine
• provide assistance in case of modifications, refinements or relocations of the material
• unload the workpiece from the metal sheet cutting machine and remove processing waste
• ensure that the dimensions of the component are within the tolerance limits specified in the design
• perform a quality check on the part and deliver it to the next processing phase
• use ERP software to manage the production (will be trained in the use of business management software)
• use forklifts, pallet trucks and overhead cranes
• load and unload metal sheets
• modify and adjust (calibration) laser cutting and oxyfuel systems
• report any malfunctions and processing defects to the department and production managers.

Requirements

• at least 1 year of experience in the position
• ability to read technical drawing and knowledge of measuring instruments (caliper and meter)
• experience in handling metal sheets (also packs)

• Shift 4: 10:00 p.m.-06:00 a.m.
