Turning

Turning is a mechanical process to remove excess material that takes place in two phases: in the first one, called roughing, most of the excess metal is removed using tools that are capable of withstanding high stresses; in the second, called finishing, the workpiece is processed in order to obtain a final surface with expected dimensions, tolerances and roughness.

Our turning department is equipped with various machines, including CNC lathes, twin-spindle lathes with anthropomorphic and gantry robots, and fully automatic bar lathes.

Most of the machinery is equipped with motorized tools, which are capable of processing finished parts, including milling operations, and of handling products with a max. diameter of 400 mm and a max. length of 2000 mm.
